Control Risks has conducted a Threat and Risk
Assessment of the Palestine Meridian Hotel site for the Iraqi American
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCI) where a new Baghdad Convention
Center will be built in the coming months. We found that the site would be
suitable for such a project once a number of recommendations are implemented
which will then significantly enhance the security apparatus at the site. A
follow-up visit was also conducted on the site after the report was
submitted.
It is anticipated that these recommendations can be accomplished within the
time frame for this year’s expo and conference events. It is intended by the
IACCI that Control Risks will further review and oversee the implementation
of the security measures over the coming months.’
